The Network Technician is responsible for the installation configuration maintenance and troubleshooting of
network systems. This role involves managing both wired and wireless network infrastructure to ensure optimal
performance and connectivity across the organization. The technician must possess technical expertise strong
diagnostic skills and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Accountabilities:
Set up and configure network hardware such as routers switches access points and firewalls ensuring
secure and efficient network operations.
Diagnose and resolve issues within the network including connectivity problems hardware malfunctions
and security vulnerabilities.
Conduct routine checks on network systems to ensure stability reliability and security. Maintain detailed
records of network issues and maintenance work.
Assist in network expansion upgrades and optimization to meet evolving business needs. Collaborate with
team members on network enhancement projects.
Keep accurate and updated documentation of network configurations changes and troubleshooting
activities to ensure effective knowledge-sharing and decision-making.
Work with vendors and suppliers for network equipment procurement repairs or replacements.
Requirements
Education experience training and skills required:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelor s degree in a related field preferred.
At least 2 years of experience in network installation configuration and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in network technologies including routing and switching protocols and experience with
diagnostic tools and network management software.
Excellent communication skills for providing technical support and collaborating effectively with team
members and end-users.
