Job Description
This role is for a Certified OR Tech with orthopedic experience. The position requires floating between units and potentially to other facilities including weekend and on-call responsibilities. The candidate will perform duties within Surgical Services.
- Assisting surgeons and other surgical staff during procedures.
- Preparing operating rooms and equipment.
- Sterilizing and maintaining surgical instruments.
- Floating to other units and potentially other facilities as needed.
- Participating in on-call rotations (one weekend per month).
- Orthopedic experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to float between units and facilities.
- Current BLS certification.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Weekend work is required.
- Block scheduling is utilized.
- Floating to other facilities (e.g. Covenant Medical Center) may be required.
- 48-hour workweeks are not approved.
- Weekend and on-call work is required (one weekend per month on-call).
