Job Summary:
This role is for a Certified OR Tech who will float between units potentially including the day surgery unit. The position requires weekend availability and may include on-call responsibilities for nights and weekends based on staff skill assessment. The work environment is a short-term acute care Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 629 beds. A 1:1 patient ratio is expected.

Responsibilities:
- Performing duties as a Certified OR Tech in various units including potential float to the day surgery unit.
- Providing surgical technical support.
- Assisting surgical staff during procedures.
- Sterilizing and preparing surgical instruments and equipment.
- Maintaining a clean and organized surgical environment.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Potential on-call responsibilities for nights and weekends (based on staff assessment).
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of employment (if applicable based on chosen job description).
- BLS certification (Basic Life Support).
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist (may vary based on facility requirements).
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center or Pediatric Trauma Center.
- Experience with a variety of surgical specialties.
- Advanced surgical techniques proficiency.
Special Considerations:
- Weekend work is required.
- On-call responsibilities may be required for nights and weekends based on staff assessment of the candidates skills.
- Floating between units is expected.
- 48-hour workweeks are not approved.
- 1:1 patient ratio.
