Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Supply Planner to join our dynamic supply chain team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for forecasting demand managing inventory levels and coordinating supply planning activities to ensure timely availability of materials and finished goods. This role plays a critical part in maintaining seamless operations meeting customer demands and achieving key business metrics such as cost optimization inventory turnover and service levels.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Supply Planner to join our dynamic supply chain team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for forecasting demand managing inventory levels and coordinating supply planning activities to ensure timely availability of materials and finished goods. This role plays a critical part in maintaining seamless operations meeting customer demands and achieving key business metrics such as cost optimization inventory turnover and service levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain short- and long-term supply plans in alignment with demand forecasts and business targets.
- Analyze inventory levels and project forward-looking positions to identify gaps and risks.
- Monitor and prioritize weekly and monthly production plans in collaboration with factories and production teams.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Sales Production Procurement Logistics and Quality to ensure supply continuity.
- Track and optimize the flow of materials through procurement warehousing production and distribution.
- Maintain ERP and MRP data accurately to reflect current planning requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries quality compliance and adherence to contractual terms.
- Set and monitor preferred stock levels to avoid stockouts and minimize excess inventory.
- Lead S&OP and vendor collaboration meetings to align on forecast supply issues and resolutions.
- Track KPIs such as forecast accuracy inventory turnover and supplier performance using dashboards and reports.
- Propose and implement supply chain improvement initiatives to boost planning efficiency and agility.
- Analyze and report on backorders material availability and production schedules.
- Create planning tools templates and SOPs for process standardization and scalability.
- Participate in audits and ensure supply planning processes adhere to regulatory and internal compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management Systems Engineering or related fields.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in supply planning preferably in FMCG Pharmaceutical or Food & Beverage industries.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP Oracle etc.) inventory planning tools and Microsoft Excel.
- Proficient in demand-supply balancing capacity planning and supply risk management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Certification in APICS/CPIM or similar supply chain certifications.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
- Working knowledge of MRP logic BOM structures and lead time planning.
- Experience in managing supplier relationships and vendor scorecards.
- Advanced skills in data visualization and reporting (Power BI Tableau is a plus).
- High level of organizational maturity ownership and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
