We are looking for a dedicated Director of Supply Chain / Materials Management to join Hazelwood Homes a leading construction company. In this role you will play a crucial part in overseeing and optimizing our supply chain processes to ensure the timely delivery of materials for our construction projects. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and success of our operations making you an integral part of our team.
As the Director of Supply Chain / Materials Management at Hazelwood Homes you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to streamline procurement inventory management and logistics. You will collaborate with various teams to forecast material needs negotiate with suppliers and maintain inventory levels. This role offers the opportunity to lead impactful projects drive cost savings and enhance the overall supply chain performance of our company.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to meet business objectives.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts for the procurement of materials.
- Oversee inventory management processes to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast material requirements for construction projects.
- Optimize logistics and distribution channels to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement best practices in supply chain management to enhance overall operations.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and quality in the supply chain.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Administration or related field.
- Proven experience in supply chain management materials management or procurement.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in supply chain software and tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Project management experience is a plus.
