Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our finance team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for supporting financial planning budgeting forecasting and operational analysis to drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong business acumen experience in a manufacturing setting and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.

We are seeking a high potential finance leader interested in being the right hand to the CFO/COO. The ideal candidate may have a background in accounting but should desire a true finance-focused role. We already have a strong accounting team that closes the books looks backwards and a BI analyst that pulls data. The finance leader will be responsible for starting a new department and have innovative ideas for process improvements. They should have multiple years of financial analysis experience and have prior experience with financial statements. Beyond utilizing Oracle they will have the autonomy to develop their own processes and identify any additional software needs. Other responsibilities will include setting up scorecards/KPIs consolidating financial statements and analyzing new opportunities. This role requires a highly self-motivated leader who is on the career path to CFO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop maintain and improve financial models to support monthly forecasting annual budgeting and long-term planning.
- Consult and lead budgeting process with all department heads.
- Partner with operations supply chain and plant management to analyze manufacturing costs variances and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare and present monthly financial reports including variance analysis and commentary for senior leadership.
- Monitor and evaluate capital expenditure projects and ROI analysis.
- Support inventory management and cost accounting processes in collaboration with the accounting and operations teams.
- Lead ad hoc financial analysis to support pricing product margins and strategic initiatives.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting and analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or related field (MBA or CPA/CMA preferred).
- 7 years of financial analysis experience preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting standard costing and inventory management.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau) a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to partner across departments.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
