Amazon seeks a Finance Manager to be a key member of our Alexa International Finance team.
The successful candidate will have shown experience in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments.
This Business Partner role requires a self-starter with solid business modeling skills and a good track record of being an adviser to the business.
This job has regular interaction with business leaders across Amazon and requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. This role also involves partnering with the business to develop financial models for International locales that will drive key strategic decisions for the business.
Key job responsibilities 1) Lead a team to uncover key business insights and opportunities with financial ROI and work with stakeholders to prioritize and optimize based on cost/benefit. 2) Serve as a key finance partner supporting the Alexa International Business. 3) Lead the development of financial models and advanced analytical tools that aid in key decision making. 4) Drive creation implementation and reporting of financial and engagement performance metrics. 5) Build out business processes that help business leaders understand progress to goals as well as strategic insights to guide overall direction. 6) Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed and present findings to senior management.
- Bachelors degree in finance accounting or related field - 5 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience - 5 years of advanced proficiency in Excel (pivots lookups etc.) experience - 5 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience - 5 years of directly managing and leading a team of 5 members experience
- 6 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience - 6 years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience - 3 years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience - MBA or CPA
