Job Description

Currently we are looking for a Customs Specialist to join our team in Warsaw and be responsible for handling customs processes for companies across the entire VELUX Group.

Our team operates in an international environment where we value professionalism transparency and a positive atmosphere. We work flexibly two days a week in the office with the remaining time working remotely.

Your responsibilities:

  • Monitoring changes in EU customs regulations and implementing them in line with internal procedures.
  • Tariff classification of goods in accordance with EU regulations. Knowledge of tariffs in other countries (e.g. USA) will be a benefit.
  • Determining preferential origin of products for all applicable FTAs managing the process of obtaining LTSDs etc.
  • Determining the non-preferential origin of goods.
  • Supervising import processes including verifying customs declarations for correct customs value and classification.
  • Supervising export processes including obtaining export confirmations.
  • Co-organizing the flow of goods and documentation in international transactions.
  • Communication and cooperation with EU customs authorities particularly in the context of customs clearance and audit procedures.
  • Participating in custom-related projects such as CBAM reporting.
  • Creating and updating procedures for existing and new customs processes.

Our expectations:

  • Good knowledge of customs regulations applicable in the European Union including knowledge of customs documents tariff classification and preferential origin of goods.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the field of customs and international trade.
  • Familiarity with SAP.
  • Ability to work in a team and effective communication skills.
  • Very good command of English the role involves working in an international environment.
