You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Lead Engineer demonstrates leadership and accountability for functional business and broad company objectives. In this role you will deliver solutions to daily challenges observed in the global repair network integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise be involved in long-term planning and contribute to the overall business strategy. Execute the analysis design test or integration required to define and support assigned components assemblies or systems that meet business standards and program / product requirements
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Recommend approach to meet the technical and program requirements
Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
Provide technical guidance to other personnel and assigned teams; mentor others in the organization
Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems
Monitor and communicate project status business issues and significant developments
Drive execution of repairs across the repair network
Work with sales force to best scope repairs and upgrades for tendering process
Perform onsite inspections to assess reparability and define repair scope
Qualify repair processes for Gas Turbines Hot Gas Path hardware
What we expect from you
Substantial experience with Turbine HGP component Repair Mechanical design Product Definition or Manufacturing
MSc in Mechanical or Materials Engineering
Excellent creativity and critical thinking/ troubleshooting skills
Proficiency in engineering design processes rigor
Understanding of mechanics dynamics and strength of materials
Demonstrated excellent English language written and verbal communication skills
Strong project management skills with the ability to monitor and communicate project status business issues and significant developments
Anticipate customer needs and ensures that they are met
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
Significant Experience in Gas Turbine Hot Gas Path components manufacture design product definition or repair
Service experience from working at customer sites / repair shops
Influencing skills & working in a global matrix organization
Edison / Advanced Course in Engineering graduation will be an asset
