Job Description Summary:
The Manager of Program Planning will manage planning operations for a large business area and a team of planners that support the portfolio. The manager is responsible for the adherence of Draper and governmental policies and best practices in the area of scheduling/EV.Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities
Lead a team of Planning professionals supporting one of Drapers largest business areas
Support development and maintenance of program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in MS Project based on requirements and scope provided by the customer
Detail plan and maintain the IMS throughout the programs lifecycle that incorporates contractual and programmatic changes into the IMS in order to maintain realistic current contract schedule baselines
Ensure the IMS is compliant with government customer requirements throughout all program phases
Ensure the IMS is resource-loaded for applicable scope with target budgets and demonstrates thorough cost and schedule integration
Lead and conduct detailed performance capture and analysis of the IMS and supporting documents to ensure quality completeness and compliance.
Support EAC and LRE processes as they relate to the Program IMS
Lead the development and maintenance of the Program Master Phasing Schedule using Milestones Professional Software.
Partner with the Program Office to ensure integration of program plans and schedules across company functional groups including finance engineering procurement operations manufacturing and quality.
Identification and implementation of project management processes tools program planning and control practices for new pursuits and existing programs.
Skills/Abilities
Proficient using software designed for creating and maintaining industry related schedules. (MS Project Primavera Open Plan or similar scheduling software)
Proficient with developing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and/or evaluating critical path and/or workflow.
Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar business process
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Familiar with Agile planning and execution
Experience leading planning effort on a program with external EV reporting and DFARS EV clause invoked.
Experience with integration of subcontractors and operations into program plans schedules and financial tracking.
Proficiency with PMX tool suite or similar program management systems
Education
Requires a Bachelors Degreein Accounting Finance Business Administration or related field of study and or an Advance degree in a related field.
Experience
Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Program Management and/or Program Planning &Scheduling with a Bachelors Degree or a minimum of 5 years experience with Masters Degree.
