Job Description

Reporting to the Risk Lead Digital Sales and Global/Regional Sellers Asia Pacific this role will be responsible for clients fraud performance insights and risk success measures. The position will be working closely with various internal and external stakeholders including issuers acquirers processors service providers and merchants to ensure secure business growth by mitigating risks to the Visa payment system. 

The successful candidate must collaborate effectively with Account Executives in both the Market Support Centre and various in-market teams as well as other functions including Product VAS VCA and Client Services. This role will develop security priorities and execute strategies to prevent fraud enhance user authentication safeguard sensitive data identify and respond to data breaches and prevent the misuse of the payment system for unlawful purposes.

The Risk Analyst will be involved in developing and influencing client adoption of risk reduction strategies and promoting Visas Payment Security solutions for Digital Sales and Global/Regional Sellers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure secure business growth while providing fact-based market insights and strategic thought-leadership to assist Visa clients in managing their fraud risk allowing balanced customer experience and operational metrics.
  • Acting as Subject Matter Expert with clients and help troubleshoot problems.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identifying opportunities to reduce and mitigate payment system risk fraud and data security risks.
  • Work closely with Visa clients to establish priority plans and promote adoption of Visa risk and data solutions.
  • Deliver risk forums/webinars risk performance reports and risk newsletters to both external and internal stakeholders and identify opportunities to leverage technologies such as GenAI for automation.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.


Qualifications :

We are looking for an early career individual with a curiosity about payments detailed-oriented results-driven and client focused.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in risk and business analytics preferably from prior payment firms or large financial institutions
  • Experience demonstrating strong leadership self-motivation and accountability
  • Familiarity with payment security risk/fraud management concepts including technologies people and processes
  • Possess a high level of self-motivation initiative and operate effectively as a team player
  • Ability to multi-task and pursue multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect organize and analyze information
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and ability to synthesize information and make clear concise recommendations
  • Fluent in spoken and written in English and other Asian language(s) will be a plus
  • Previous experience in multi-functional teams to execute in cross-functional programs and initiatives
