Seeking a skilled Finishing Supervisor to lead a growing production team responsible for custom finishing and rework. Ideal for a strong leader with manufacturing experience and a passion for quality process and people development.
Long Description:
A fast-growing manufacturing facility is hiring a Finishing Supervisor to oversee custom and corrective finishing operations on a busy production floor. This role requires hands-on leadership emotional intelligence and the ability to drive efficiency and quality under pressure.
The ideal candidate has previous supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing environment (finishing or woodworking a plus) and can motivate a diverse team while maintaining high standards of safety and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of finishing technicians and rework staff
- Manage daily workflows including custom finishes corrections and quality checks
- Maintain a positive and respectful team culture with strong communication
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and finish quality standards
- Collaborate with planning scheduling and quality departments
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes
- Onboard and train new team members; support cross-training initiatives
Qualifications:
- 2 years of supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing setting
- Strong leadership organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- High attention to detail and quality
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Location: Newark NJ
Type: Full-time 7:30 AM 4:30 PM
Salary: $80000$120000/year
