$52000.00 Annual

General Description/Primary Purpose:

Full-time position in the Silverfield College of Education & Human Services (SCOEHS). The CIRCLE Coordinator is employed on a year-by-year basis as needed and is non-tenure-earning. This position is grant-funded and contingent upon receipt of funding. The CIRCLE Coordinator under the direction of an Associate Dean or above assists in the design development and implementation of programming and/or initiatives related to the Center for Innovation Research Collaboration Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE).

Job Functions

  • Develop and oversee activities aimed at increasing student engagement and the celebration of differences among students with varying disabilities.
  • Organize and promote events that celebrate the achievements and contributions of students with disabilities.
  • Create and implement student engagement initiatives (e.g. social events peer mentorship programs awareness campaigns) to foster a sense of community.
  • Engage in outreach efforts to raise awareness of the resources and services available to students with disabilities both within the campus community and externally.
  • Foster a culture of engagement through campus-wide campaigns events and communication for the CIRCLE.
  • Stay up to date on best practices trends and new research in the field of disability services inclusive education student retention and engagement.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of student engagement activities/events and advocacy efforts through feedback surveys and data analysis.
  • Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student faculty staff alumni and community satisfaction and the success of the CIRCLE initiatives.
  • Report on activity/event outcomes and make recommendations for improvements based on findings and

Departmental Requirements:

  • Must have a passion for working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Degree should be in a relevant area of study.
  • Know the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) with in-depth knowledge of Section 504 laws.
  • Event planning and coordination of program initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success with creating and maintaining community partnerships.

Working Hours: 8am to 5pm

Work Schedule: Varies

Supervision Exercised: This is a non-supervisory role.
