Job Description
Job Title: Structure QC Inspector
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct quality inspections for structural steel fabrication welding erection and assembly as per approved drawings and specifications.
Review WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications) PQRs (Procedure Qualification Records) and welder qualifications.
Monitor welding processes consumables and environmental conditions.
Inspect raw materials and finished products using tools such as measuring tapes UT/RT gauges micrometers etc.
Coordinate with contractors and internal teams to resolve quality-related issues.
Issue and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Maintain proper documentation for inspections test reports and material traceability.
Liaise with third-party inspectors and client representatives for joint inspections and approvals.
Ensure all activities comply with relevant safety and quality standards.
Participate in audits and assist in continuous improvement of quality systems.
Essential Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Certified as CSWIP 3.1 AWS-CWI or equivalent (preferred).
Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Skills & Competencies Required:
In-depth knowledge of structural drawings specifications and standards.
Strong understanding of welding techniques materials and quality control procedures.
Familiar with NDT methods such as VT UT PT and RT.
Good command over inspection documentation and reporting.
Attention to detail strong observation and analytical skills.
Effective communication and coordination abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and in site conditions.
