Manage end-to-end farm activities: land preparation planting crop management irrigation harvesting and maintenance.
Ensure optimal utilization of land water chemicals fertilizers and equipment.
Maintain all machinery and ensure minimal downtime through preventive maintenance.
Implement mechanization initiatives to reduce labor dependency and increase efficiency.
Maintain rigorous schedules for irrigation pest control and fertilization.
Develop and implement in-house seed production from breeder and foundation seed lines.
Minimize crop loss from external factors (e.g. birds) through proactive measures.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities community leaders and government bodies.
Explore and test new crop varieties to enhance profitability and sustainability.
Identify opportunities for farm expansion diversification and revenue streams.
Establish and grow a farm machinery rental service.
Build strong partnerships with customers suppliers and agricultural stakeholders.
Explore new market avenues and value chain enhancements.
Oversee financial planning budgeting and cost control across operations.
Ensure effective utilization of funds and optimization of operating costs.
Analyze financial performance and drive efficiency across all departments.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track operational progress.
Deliver clear actionable management reports and insights using data charts and visual tools.
Make data-driven recommendations to optimize yields inputs and cost efficiency.
Maintain a regular reporting cadence and handle management tasks as assigned.
Master s degree in Agriculture with a minimum of 10 years of experience or Bachelor s degree with at least 15 years of practical farm management experience.
Proven track record in large-scale farming operations and yield optimization.
Deep knowledge of cereal legume and tuber crop cultivation (e.g. rice maize cassava sweet potato).
Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.
Fluent in English (written and spoken); other local languages a plus.
Calm resilient personality with an outcome-driven mindset and high work ethic.
