Job Overview:
The Head of Operations and Facility Management is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the physical spaces infrastructure and operational systems. This leadership role requires the strategic management of day-to-day operations maintenance safety and sustainability practices across the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operational activities to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the facility.
- Develop and implement operational strategies policies and procedures to optimize functioning and reduce costs.
- Ensure that all facilities and operations comply with relevant laws regulations and standards.
- Work closely with reporting team members to coordinate and integrate operational needs
2. Facility Management:
- Manage the maintenance repair and ongoing improvements of facility including building systems equipment and infrastructure.
- Ensure that all facilities are safe clean and functional at all times including overseeing janitorial and security services.
- Plan and manage facility-related projects such as renovations expansions or new setups.
- Oversee vendor relationships ensuring contracts are managed effectively.
3. Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Develop and manage the operations and facility management budget ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs without compromising quality or safety.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to ensure competitive pricing and optimal services.
4. Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to health safety and environmental regulations and maintain a safe and secure working environment.
- Lead safety audits inspections and risk assessments to proactively address potential issues.
- Develop and implement safety training programs for employees contractors and visitors.
5. Sustainability and Environmental Initiatives:
- Develop and implement sustainability initiatives that reduce energy consumption and waste
- Lead efforts to make facilities more eco-friendly including implementing best practices.
6. Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and manage a team of operations staff and maintenance personnel.
- Provide training support and development opportunities for the team to enhance their skills and performance.
- Establish clear performance objectives for the team conduct regular performance reviews.
7. Reporting and Analysis:
- Provide regular reports to senior management on facility operations maintenance status and budget adherence.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends resolve problems and improve operational efficiency.
