You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAre you seeking a fulfilling role where clinical excellence collaboration and team well-being go hand in hand Medivet Esher is looking for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly close-knit team and contribute to our continued success.
Our multi-vet practice is led by an experienced and compassionate Branch Partner who champions a culture of support and balance ensuring the team thrives both professionally and personally. Youll be working alongside a skilled and enthusiastic group including three Registered Veterinary Nurses two Veterinary Care Assistants (one soon to begin her nursing training) and a dedicated Client Care Assistant all unified by a shared commitment to outstanding patient care.

This connection allows us to work cases up thoroughly especially within dentistry where we have developed particular expertise and manage a rewarding and diverse caseload.
Our spacious purpose-built practice includes:
Three dedicated consultation rooms
Separate dog and cat wards
A defined prep area supporting a well-equipped theatre
A welcoming staff room for breaks and collaboration
And an exciting full refurbishment scheduled for early 2025 further enhancing the quality of our clinical space
This role offers excellent work-life balance with a three-day working week supported by a fair rota that includes 1:3 weekends at Esher and 1:6 weekends at our nearby 24-hour Richmond Hospital. Youll also participate in a limited number of Bank Holidays ERS days and on-call blocks which are carefully planned and shared across the region. If more hours are desired or a full-time role is what you are looking for this can also be discussed with a share in the rota of another nearby practice to accommodate!

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:
Deliver exceptional clinical care to your patients during consultations and procedures.
Provide exceptional care to your clients giving clear updates on patients.
Deliver professional excellence observing the highest standards of regulatory practice and operational compliance.
Prepare tailored accurate treatment and care plans for each patient with clear cost estimates.
Engage mentor and develop your team enhancing their skills and utilising these in the most effective way.
Complete clinical handover and arrange transfer of any patient needing out of hours or enhanced care.
Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice within and across practices and the wider Medivet community.
Your Skills and Experience
RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
Experienced in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.
Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
Able to demonstrate clinical leadership skills.
Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture.
Experience of supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures with an understanding of how this contributes to clinic performance and efficiency.
Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
