A Brief OverviewThe Logistics Supervisor is responsible for providing efficient and effective guidance and broad supervision of all staff in Environmental Services to effectively triage staff to meet the organizational need at any given time. Responsible for managing and maintaining all equipment and facility work orders. Responsible for supplies and inventory controls. The Logistics Supervisor will serve as initial source of troubleshooting for multiple complex software system and create actionable data reports and tracking tools for the department. Will assist in formal and informal staff education and will be expected to be a Standards Team liaison. This person will lead the onboarding and retention area of the department.
What you will do
- Performs detailed information analysis and synthesis to develop efficient staff workflows.
- Acts as the TeleTracking Software System Administrator for the department.
- Assists with maintaining/creating data sets of workflow performance to include patient triage technology and linen tracking technology.
- Assists with the establishment and maintenance of competency-based orientation and continuing education programs for staff. Coordinates conducts and reports staff unit orientation and training activities.
- Consults with the Environmental Services Manager and Department Director in designing methods and procedures to improve the efficiency productivity and control of unit operations. Assists in establishing annual goals and objectives.
- Comprehends/interprets Avera policies and procedures and instructs staff appropriately for compliance purposes.
- Partners with Facility Services on work orders.
- Coordinates with Avera leadership teams to enhance inter-departmental cooperation in regard to patient flow.
- Assists in the development of department operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency productivity and workflow.
- Responsibilities include interviewing hiring developing training and retaining employees; planning assigning and leading work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Preferred Education License/Certification or Work Experience:
- Bachelors
- 1-3 years Previous leadership experience
