Job Description

Role

Responsible for overseeing the management and maintenance of organizations facilities across multiple locations to ensure the safety functionality efficiency and sustainability of its physical environments (e.g. buildings grounds infrastructures real estate) to enable it to achieve its goals seamlessly and without disruption. Responsible for maintaining a maintenance and project checklist/schedule for preventive maintenance and ongoing improvements and compliance with schedules and deadlines. This includes oversight of building renovations grounds/building maintenance obtaining contract bids and overall efficient use of facilities. Responsible for the daily maintenance repairs installation and construction of the organizations facilities. This includes but is not limited to plumbing electrical HVAC structural roof paint elevator appliances janitorial landscaping and utilities usage. Manages repairs and renovation/construction costs to established budgets.


Major Duties and Responsibilities

Maintenance and Repairs

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and functionality of facilities and equipment.
  • Coordinate and oversee maintenance activities repairs and renovations ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Complete employee service requests in a timely manner.

Strategic Facilities Management

  • Implement innovative solutions and technologies to improve efficiency sustainability and user experience within the facilities.
  • Maintain Facilities budgets and manage FFE assets.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices in facilities management.
  • Manage property tax filings/protests.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local state and federal regulations as well as industry standards including updating and maintaining safety codes accessibility requirements and environmental regulations.
  • Implement measures to mitigate risks.

Site Visits and Inspections

  • Travel between the branches and ensure branches function as required.
  • Work with branch landlords/facilities departments for any work required at the branch locations.

Major Project Management

  • Meet vendors gather bids and present bids to senior management teams.
  • Oversees completion of major projects.

Emergency Preparedness and Business Continuity

  • Maintain emergency response plans and business continuity procedures for various types of incidents.


Other duties as assigned.


Must comply with applicable laws and regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act the Patriot Act and the Office of Foreign Assets Control in addition to all company policies. Maintains and conveys HPCUs professional reputation as well as organizational values.

Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

Experience

Three years to five years of similar or related experience including preparatory experience.


Education/Certifications/Licenses

A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school equivalent to approximately 64 credit hours.


Interpersonal Skills

Courtesy and tact are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with members and others inside and outside the organization generally regarding fairly routine matters for the purposes of giving and obtaining information or instructions updating or referring. Communications generally require shorter and not in-depth discussions.

Physical Requirements

Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. Must be capable of regular reliable and timely

attendance.


Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise as well as outside in various degrees of heat and cold.


Mental and/or Emotional Requirements

Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple simultaneous and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters
