Location negotiable at Kingswood (Nepean) or Meadowbank campus

PSSE Band 1. Total Remuneration Package $203286 to $227389 pa

About the role

This dynamic Institute of Applied Technology (IAT) leadership position provides strategic direction on the Institutes of Applied Technology including operational leadership of the pilots focused on the Digital and Construction industries. The role leads an education delivery model where industry and tertiary organisations partner with TAFE NSW to deliver high-impact programs designed to meet significant industry skills needs. You will have significant influence on the operating model for the Institutes and the ability to shape the implementation of this innovative education model while leading a multidisciplinary team. Collaboration with industry and university partners is key to successfully implementing this model which carries significant financial and reputational responsibilities.

About You

You are a visionary and strategic leader with a demonstrated ability to design and deliver complex change programs particularly those shaped by policy considerations and government engagement. With expertise in managing multi-stream initiatives you consistently drive measurable outcomes and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Your strength lies in balancing long-term strategic objectives with day-to-day operational realities enabling you to build scalable collaborative solutions that serve learners industry and the broader community. You bring the insight and experience needed to develop robust recommendations on the future direction of the Institute of Applied Technology (IAT) pilot and lead their successful implementation. A deep understanding of policy development stakeholder engagement and the translation of strategic vision into practical execution is essential to your approach.
