Job Description
German fluency required. We are a family of 4 with two boys of 1 year and 5 years. We are looking for a part time nanny that can work for us on either Saturday or Sunday (preferably Saturday) for 8 hours from approx 8am to 4pm. The main task is to look after our little one of 1 year. Occasionally also both of the kids although the 5 year old needs time to get used to someone. The kids are raised bilingual with English as their main language and German their second. We would like to give them more German exposure with a German speaking nanny. Nice to have (but not a must) would be willingness to do some limited household work. We are based in W6 0 London. The job can be started as soon as possible but for the right candidate we can also wait a little. If the candidate is available for a few additional 3-4 hours during the week to talk more German with the kids we would be open to discuss it but this is not the main focus. There is no end date for engagement and we are happy to continue for years to come if it works for both parties.
Fluent german speaker Up to date, enhanced criminal background check will be required prior to starting the job. Up to date paediatric first aid required
This is a sole and shared care role. The parents both work full time and would
relish the opportunity to have breakfast out somewhere or go to the gym etc. initially shared care and as soon as its working well the parents will give you sole charge of baby or possibly both.
The family employs a full time nanny Monday to Friday. She has been with them for 5 years but is not a german speaker. They will keep their long-term full time nanny.
Requirements
Nanny who actively encourages learning of german skills
Plenty of sole charge baby experience (3yrs)
Fluent German speaker
Longevity in recent nanny jobs
Up to date Enhanced DBS (on the DBS update service) You can apply for this if you do not already have it.
Recent Paediatric First Aid certificate
Right to work in UK (this requires either a share code check or a digital ID check ( 3.50) - upon accepting job offer legal requirement)
Lives in within a short commute
Good references for recent and relevant nanny work particularly with babies.
Able to run after little children
Please note this is a strictly Non smoking position.
