Job Description
Hunton Distribution a division of Hunton Group in Houston TX () has a new and exciting opportunity for you to join our organization as a Warehouse Manager. In this role youll oversee the daily operations of a high-volume warehouse leading efforts in product receipt stocking shipping and ensuring flawless execution of customer orders. Youll also be responsible for managing key purchasing transactions with Trane and local vendors ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service every time. Were looking for a seasoned warehouse professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is ready to lead with confidence. Experience managing larger-scale warehouse operations is essential and flexibility is key as youll oversee both first and second daily shifts. Responsibilities:
- Manage and train the Warehouse Team at the respective Branch.
- Assist in staging shipping and receiving equipment parts and supplies.
- Ensure customers orders are completed in a timely manner.
- Oversee execution of out bound freight shipments.
- Manage freight claims for damaged goods.
- Manage inventory control and assist in entering inventory into software system.
- Maintain accurate M/S freight bills of lading equipment packing slips etc. for inventory reconciliation and audit purposes.
- Ensure pick tickets are properly turned in for invoicing purposes.
- Manage receipt inspecting and stocking products.
- Maintain Warehouse Management System inventory accuracy.
- Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as required.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Skills Required:
- Must have and maintain a valid drivers license.
- Must have good interpersonal and phone skills to communicate and assist inside sales personnel and customers.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Pull and put away equipment on pallets or boxes using a forklift.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Education and/or Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of warehouse management experience.
- 3 - 5 years of proven forklift experience.
