Job Description

This position leads a cross-functional team to support the development and pilot of competency-based microcredentials and implement an AI tool for Prior Learning Recognition. This role focuses on delivering grant-funded initiatives aligned with strategic institutional goals primarily serving veterans and working adults.

Salary & Benefits: Minimum starting salary of $71000 commensurate with experience.

Primary Duties:

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead the full lifecycle of a grant-funded project from planning through pilot implementation and closeout.
  • Ensure deliverables (AI tool microcredentials pilot) are completed on time within scope and budget.

Microcredential Development

  • Oversee the development of competency-based microcredentials aligned with degree programs.
  • Coordinate with faculty and academic leadership for content design and validation.

AI Tool Evaluation & Implementation

  • Support sponsors in assessing whether to build or purchase an AI tool for Prior Learning Recognition.
  • Lead the implementation process including stakeholder alignment vendor coordination (if applicable) and change management.

Pilot Program Management

  • Plan and execute a pilot program involving veterans and working adult learners.
  • Coordinate faculty and support services participation in the pilot.

Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management

  • Collaborate with internal sponsors and departments to manage change and ensure successful adoption.
  • Communicate project status risks and progress regularly to stakeholders.

Responsibilities Non-Essential Functions:

Other Duties

  • Perform other duties as required/assigned by leadership.

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in project management (preferably in higher education or technology).
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder coordination project scheduling and requirement gathering.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Degree in management education or technology-related field.
  • Three or more (3) years of experience managing projects using formal project management methodologies.
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Familiarity with IT project contracts budgets and legal processes.
  • Understanding of AI tools in educational settings is a plus.
