Project Manager Software Engineering Initiatives (Reading PA)
Type: Contract Full-Time (40 hrs/week)
Duration: 12 Months

Job Overview
Seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee end-to-end planning and delivery of software engineering projects. This role drives cross-functional coordination Agile best practices and ensures high-quality solutions delivered on time and within budget in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead project management across the full software development lifecycle

Develop and manage project plans schedules budgets and resources

Collaborate with engineering product QA and business teams to clarify requirements and priorities

Manage risks project dependencies and apply effective change control

Facilitate Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups sprint reviews retrospectives status updates)

Track progress report project health and align initiatives with business objectives

Champion Agile methodologies and promote delivery best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Systems or related field

At least 10 years of project management experience in software development

Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams in dynamic settings

In-depth knowledge of Agile/Scrum project tracking tools (Jira Confluence)

Excellent communication stakeholder management and problem-solving skills

Project Management certification (PMP CSM or equivalent) preferred
Preferred Skills

Experience with DevOps CI/CD and cloud-based development environments

Ability to convey technical information to business/non-technical stakeholders

Experience leading distributed or offshore development teams
