Job Description
Job Title: Technical Project Manager/Project Manager
Location: Reading PA
Duration: 12 Months
The role requires strong project management expertise the ability to coordinate across technical and business teams and a focus on delivering high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management for software engineering initiatives from initiation to delivery.
- Develop and maintain project plans schedules budgets and resource allocations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams product managers QA and business stakeholders to define requirements and priorities.
- Manage risks dependencies and change requests ensuring minimal disruption to delivery timelines.
- Facilitate daily stand-ups sprint reviews retrospectives and project status updates.
- Track progress report project health to leadership and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Support Agile delivery models promoting best practices across teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Systems or related field.
- 10 years of project management experience managing software development projects.
- Proven success managing cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and project tracking tools (e.g. Jira Confluence).
- Excellent communication problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
- Project Management certification (PMP CSM or equivalent) preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with modern software engineering practices such as DevOps CI/CD and cloud-based development.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business language for non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in managing distributed or offshore engineering teams.
