Job Description

Network Aviation is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Qantas Group providing high-capacity air charter and regular passenger transport services. We operate a fleet of jet aircraft. From our base at Perth Airport we specialised in mining industry support regional airline services routine and emergency freight and corporate charter flying.

Reporting to the Manager Risk and Assurance the Risk Coordinator is responsible for supporting all Business Units with risk management coordination including identification analysis mitigation implementation in accordance with Qantas Group framework policies and/or procedures. You will leverage technology and data to provide risk insights across the Network Group to support transformation programs and continuous improvement.

What youll do:

  • Conduct research into legislation and analyse safety data and trends to provide risk management insights
  • Coordinate transformational programs to identify analyse and mitigate risks to deliver and achieve ALARP outcomes across the various programs.
  • Coordinate and engage with stakeholders to ensure risk assessments are conducted and stored in accordance with Qantas Group risk framework policies and procedures
  • Using technology and data-based solutions coordinate analysis to identify risks insights (i.e. trends)  and develop recommended efficiencies/improvements to support business units in driving risk reduction and transformation.
  • Conduct research from multiple data sources for Board reports and safety committee meetings to drive risk insights and areas for continuous improvement.

Youll have:

  • Minimum 2 years experience within aviation industry
  • Certificate/Diploma in risk management (preferable)
  • Strong data analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver insights
  • Experience in risk management activities including Bow Tie risk methodology and risk frameworks
  • Sound knowledge of aviation occupational safety and preferably environmental legislation as well as relevant AUS/NZ and ISO Standards and Codes of Practice
  • Strong communication skills
  • Commitment to change and continuous improvement
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal with all levels of management
  • Ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders 
  • Ability to work in a multi-discipline team
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
