Job Summary
The University of Portland Athletics Department is looking for tutors to assist with student-athletes academic coursework for all courses. Tutors should feel confident providing writing assistance to the student-athlete. Tutors are expected to be available between 60-90 minutes per week to work with 1-3 student-athletes on study skills notetaking skills test preparation and any other course or assignment-related questions. We are looking for course-specific tutors as well so please list classes you feel comfortable tutoring. Additionally tutors will be asked to log tutoring session notes into a database for the Athletics Department to keep track of notes from the sessions. Minimum Qualifications
Flexible availability on weeknights and weekends to tutor students with busy schedules Proficiency in assigned courses (at least a B grade or higher in the courses you are tutoring in)
Preferred Qualifications
Previous tutoring teaching or coaching experience Green Dot full training certified or willing to go through the Green Dot training
