Senior Accountant Intercompany & Payroll

THE POSITION:
At STACK the Senior Accountant Intercompany & Payroll is an essential part of the Finance and Accounting Department. You will be responsible for the monthly production maintenance and reconciliation of all Intercompany and Payroll transactions process improvement and ad-hoc projects as needed. To be successful in this role you will need to have excellent communications skills and strong attention to detail and be exceptionally organized self-motivated and a master problem-solver. You should be able to thrive in a fast-paced multitasking environment and easily adapt to change and rapid company growth. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for accounting and customer service (external and internal).
  • Responsible for complex intercompany billing process
  • Responsible for booking and reconciling our payroll activity including but not limited to monthly payroll for US and Canada Benefits and employe expenses
  • Invoice management & compliance
  • Complete the month end close process and preparation of journal entries/accruals when needed
  • Evaluate and record transactions to the general ledger timely and accurately
  • Analyze and interpret complex accounting transactions in accordance with GAAP
  • Work cross functionally with various departments and teams to understand operating results and create efficiencies in accounting processes
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal departments including Finance Operations and Treasury teams
  • Provide support to internal departments to provide Intercompany position
  • Ad-hoc reporting analysis and special projects to move the business forward
THE DETAILS:
  • Location:Denver CO In office 3 days Work from Home 2 days
  • Travel:less than 10%
  • Compensation: $80000 - $95000 Bonus
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must pass comprehensive background screening
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors degree in accounting
  • 3 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and meet deadlines
  • Experience with intercompany accounting and reconciliation
  • Experience recording payroll transactions (e.g. salaries taxes benefits)
  • Multi-entity and international accounting experience
  • NetSuite experience or other ERP systems
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
