Job Description

Learning and Development Coordinator

  • Dynamic role in a supportive and collaborative team
  • Full time or part time position available
  • 12 month contract with potential for extension or job share

The Law Society is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Learning and Development Coordinator to fill this essential role in developing and delivering our professional development program for the legal profession in Western Australia. If you love shaping learning and development experiences working with top experts in their field and contributing to access to justice this role is for you.

For the right candidate we are open to offering this role at 0.6 FTE 0.8FTE or full time and there is the opportunity for extension or job share after the initial 12-month parental leave cover period.

About the role

You will coordinate the design delivery and compliance of the Societys Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and education program which is one of the key member services we deliver to our 5000 members. You will help support the profession and in turn contribute to ensuring the community benefits from exceptional legal services.

Key responsibilities

  • Design coordinate and manage the Law Societys CPD and education program including live and on-demand seminars.
  • Liaise with speakers registrants and stakeholders to deliver outstanding customer service and top notch events.
  • Oversee the online learning platform and regular review of CPD content.
  • Compile and analyse data and prepare reports on program evaluation and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with Legal Practice Board QA Provider requirements.
  • Mentor and guide team members to ensure delivery excellence.

Skills and experience

Essential

  • Relevant professional experience and/or tertiary qualifications in learning and development event management or similar.
  • Proven track record in learning and development event coordination and delivery (legal sector preferred).
  • Strong understanding of project risk and compliance management principles.
  • Excellent communication stakeholder engagement and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Zoom/webinar platforms and LMS publishing.

Desirable

  • Understanding of the legal profession in Western Australia.
  • Experience in a member-based or not-for-profit organisation.
