About the Role:
Were seeking a strategic hands-on Learning & Development (L&D) Lead to build and own our training function from the ground up. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced agile environment and understands the complexity of the managed accounts ecosystem (Advisory platforms and programs such as UMA SMA and Rep Directed).
You will be responsible for architecting and executing a scalable training program that supports the needs of wealth management firms advisors asset managers and internal teamsdelivering engaging practical education across live self-guided and video-based formats.
Key Responsibilities:
Build the L&D Function
- Design a scalable learning & development framework from scratch
- Create onboarding upskilling and ongoing education programs for diverse learner personas (e.g. advisors asset managers internal staff)
- Develop and maintain training KPIs to measure impact and engagement
Content Creation & Delivery
- Produce high-quality interactive training content (presentations user guides LMS modules videos)
- Deliver live and recorded training including webinars bootcamps and certification programs
- Design role-based and scenario-based learning use cases for real-world application
- Author quizzes knowledge checks and reinforce learning outcomes
Training Operations
- Maintain version control and update content based on product/UI changes
- Develop a train-the-trainer program to empower internal teams (Support Client Success Relationship Management)
- Host 1:1 or group onboarding sessions for new clients and beta participants
- Tailor delivery approach based on user type (e.g. tech-savvy wealth & assets managers as well as advisor groups)
- Partner with product and client-facing teams to communicate and educate on new features
- Own the training content calendar and coordinate with marketing product and support
Qualifications:
- 5 years in training instructional design or enablement in the financial services or fintech space
- Deep knowledge of managed accounts particularly around UMA & SMA workflows and advisor ecosystems
- Experience building L&D programs from the ground up
- Excellent facilitation skills with experience delivering both in-person and virtual training
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Willingness to travel (25%) to client sites
- Experience creating e-learning videos or LMS content is a plus
- Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with platforms such as Envestnet Vestmark InvestCloud APL Orion and Black Diamond as well as TAMP providers
- Background in SaaS/WealthTech or working with RIAs TAMPs or broker-dealer channels
- Knowledge of adult learning theory instructional design models (ADDIE SAM) or tools like Articulate Camtasia or WalkMe
