  • 12 Months Fixed Term Contract
  • Hybrid working environment (1-2 Days per week in office)

The Opportunity: .


The Financial Accountant is a broad role and will provide support to the team in several important areas. These include but are not limited to banking foreign exchange management accounts receivable assistance with accounts payable journal processing month end reconciliations and other general finance record keeping. The Financial Accountant works closely with all Divisional team members to provide high level financial and accounting services to the Institute.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Timely and accurate entry of all financial transactions for the group of companies with the goal of providing clean and relevant financial reports to be used in management decision making.
  • Ownership of philanthropy accounting including receipt disbursements and recording of funds into the accounting system.
  • Revalue all foreign currency debtor balances at month-end
  • Prepare annual semi-annual and ad-hoc financial acquittals for all grants as required
  • Complete weekly cash reporting
  • Understand and apply revenue recognition criteria to grants/contracts in accordance with AASB9 AASB1058 and AASB15
  • Support to regional finance teams in the UK China and India for guidance on contract assessments in accordance to accounting standards
  • Calculate correct revenue recognition amounts based on assessed AASB standards and post journals to projects
  • Reconciliations of all assigned BS accounts monthly and in a timely manner
  • Ensure all debtor invoices are accurately entered into accounting system in format described and collected in a timely manner with responsibility for all invoicing for TGI and GHE
  • Design spreadsheets and maintain for various on-going and ad-hoc requirements for the Institute and GHE e.g. RBG calculations Acquittal templates etc.
