Job Description

The Referral Coordinator is responsible for being the first point of contact for patients as they begin their therapy care.

This is a full-time remote position working M-F from 9:30 am - 6:00 pm supporting our Corporate Office in Bloomington MN.

Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health) a group of local medical practices owned and led by its physicians on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide initial support and guidance to patients through phone and text interactions
  • Coordinate a variety of work list queues based on patient contact methods which could include inbound calls outbound calls and texting
  • Proficiently create a new account in the practice management system
  • Communicate all pertinent information to patients including appointment information directions check-in times and referral information
  • Verify and accurately document patient insurance information and maintain a working knowledge of health care plan requirements and health plan networks
  • Perform efficient scheduling with attention to detail using practice management software
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail ensure accuracy and consistency in patient communications adhering to company protocols and standards
  • Engage in clear professional communication both written and verbal with both internal and external clients patients and staff
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to PHI and HIPAA guidelines
  • Respond to inquiries and relay information without delay maintaining open lines of communication
  • All other duties as assigned

        Education and Experience Requirements:

        • High School diploma/GED or equivalent
        • Proficient in Microsoft Word Outlook and Excel
        • Customer Service experience required
        • Experience with accurate and proficient written communication
        • i-Health Administrative or Medical Office experience preferred
