The Referral Coordinator is responsible for being the first point of contact for patients as they begin their therapy care.
This is a full-time remote position working M-F from 9:30 am - 6:00 pm supporting our Corporate Office in Bloomington MN.
Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health) a group of local medical practices owned and led by its physicians on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.
Essential Functions:
- Provide initial support and guidance to patients through phone and text interactions
- Coordinate a variety of work list queues based on patient contact methods which could include inbound calls outbound calls and texting
- Proficiently create a new account in the practice management system
- Communicate all pertinent information to patients including appointment information directions check-in times and referral information
- Verify and accurately document patient insurance information and maintain a working knowledge of health care plan requirements and health plan networks
- Perform efficient scheduling with attention to detail using practice management software
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail ensure accuracy and consistency in patient communications adhering to company protocols and standards
- Engage in clear professional communication both written and verbal with both internal and external clients patients and staff
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to PHI and HIPAA guidelines
- Respond to inquiries and relay information without delay maintaining open lines of communication
- All other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Word Outlook and Excel
- Customer Service experience required
- Experience with accurate and proficient written communication
- i-Health Administrative or Medical Office experience preferred
