Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP is a leading international law firm known for its excellence professionalism and commitment to talent. Our London office plays a key role in the firms global practice and we are seeking a diligent and proactive HR Technology Assistant to support our growing HR operations.

Description/Job Summary

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with at least one year of HR data entry experience and good understanding of general HR policy and processes with a strong interest in HR Information Systems. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of employee data and contribute to the smooth running of our HR operations; provide project support for system enhancements; and answer day-to-day system queries.

Responsibilities/Duties
  • Accurately input update and maintain employee records in the firms HR System ensuring data quality and consistency
  • Support the HR team with data processing for key employee lifecycle events including onboarding contract changes absence and leavers
  • Ensure all HRIS data entry and updates are completed in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues and key stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate data flow
  • Assist in regular data audits and integrity checks flagging and resolving inconsistencies
  • Generate HR reports as needed for internal stakeholders
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold data protection and compliance standards including GDPR
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of HR data processes and documentation
Required Skills
  • Minimum 1 year of HR data entry experience or general HR administration ideally within a professional services or corporate environment
  • Keen interest in HR systems and data management
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to repetitive tasks
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset
  • Knowledge of GDPR and HR data confidentiality requirements
  • Experience with MS Visio is desirable but not essential
