About the role
As the Project Risk Advisor you will provide first line risk support and advice for change initiatives contributing to a team that plays an active part in improving the execution of these initiatives through governance and assurance providing oversight of change activities to optimise delivery and maximise realisation of benefits.
The role actively contributes to the Enterprise Delivery & Risk Framework Teams program of work to identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives and supports capability uplift when working closely with Project Risk Consultants and the wider Risk community.

What youll do
- Lead and manage the provision of project risk advice and support to ensure delivery teams conduct assessment activity and manage delivery as per the Project Risk Management Standard governance framework and guardrails.
- As part of the support provided you will be required to drive the creation of governance artefacts and help to drive Risk maturity uplift in the Delivery team you are resourced to.
- Design creation and management of procedural and process documentation to ensure requirements and expectation are appropriately documented.
- Delivery of training to delivery teams and risk resources.
- Provide insight and support to the Business Risk Partner delivery teams to facilitate uplift in risk practices via outcomes of Delivered and Delivery Risk Assessments.
- Ensure that business practices are in line with expectations and that the balance between business specific needs and risk level consistency is met.
- Actively share learnings and insights broadly across the Risk community to foster a learning culture and uplift capability
What youll bring
- Minimum of two (2) years risk compliance audit or project management experience
- Minimum five (5) years of appropriate industry experience in general insurance
- Demonstrated experience in influential communication to senior management with the ability to facilitate risk sessions
- The ability to work and manage actions with stakeholders at different levels
- Have the confidence to run and drive delivery risk in the Tribes/Platforms and CoEs
- A can-do attitude willing to get stuck in
- Demonstrated experience in coaching and mentoring
- Experience in communications and change management (highly regarded)
