Job Description:
This is a senior-level IT Project Manager role tied to a critical modernization program. The initiative is transitioning from a legacy system (COBOL/.NET) to a modern platform involving coordination across vendors in different time zones. Candidate must manage modernization testing efforts and vendor engagement.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead modernization efforts for a legacy system migration project
- Collaborate with QA Leads and vendors for cross-time zone coordination
- Drive implementation timelines and milestones
- Manage project delivery and quality control throughout testing phases
- Interact with business stakeholders and technical teams
Required Skills:
- Must have recent insurance industry experience
- 6 years as a IT project manager
- Must be local to Peoria IL
Senior PM: this is specific to a very critical program we are starting. Currently in pre-implementation system. Looking for someone to help with modernization on a legacy to modern platform. Utilizing external vendor to assist involving different time zones. Insurance would be extremely helpful. Will be working with QA Lead but testing background is nice. This is the COBOL/ .NET migration.
o Insurance experience preferred (highly).
o We could be a little more flexible on location for this role. Ideally 2-3 days a week onsite but if someone is willing to come in 1 week for a month or a few days every other week
