Overview

Mayfield School seeks to appoint a highly organised and proactive Site Manager from September 2025. This is a great time to join us as we invest in the premises to ensure a safe and well-equipped school environment for students to learn and thrive.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is experienced to lead and manage the Facilities Cleaning and Community teams including managing the cleaning contractors
  • Has experience in leading a team of at least 3 including appraisals absence holiday planning etc.
  • Will work with the Trust Chief Operating officer (COO) to ensure compliance for all aspects of Health and Safety and COSHH on the school site
  • Will be able to lead strategically in school working environment projects
  • Will be accountable for the maintenance cleanliness and optimum use of all facilities to include all building repairs and delegated budgets
  • Will be responsible for all aspects of the community use of the school including staffing and meeting targets for generating incoming for the school through community usage of the building
  • Has experience in leading on internal repairs and maintenance completing most carpentry plumbing and painting jobs in-house with the site team
  • Will be able to coordinate the efficient running of the school on a daily basis for all events
  • Will oversee the management of all refurbishments and building development projects
  • Is able to be accountable for the school during holidays under the direction of the Headteacher
  • Is flexible to be a key holder and respond to out of hours call outs

This means that they do not need to be disclosed to employers and if they are disclosed employers cannot take them into account.
