You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Operational Coordinator will be responsible for delivering and covering the day-to-day clinical activities of the screening programme ensuring robust processes direct management of service screening staff and oversight of the workforce training accreditation and competency. This will involve working with and across a wide range of stakeholder organisations. The post holder will ensure the programme is delivered in line with national standards providing an excellent screening service with the aim of early detection and prevention of hearing loss.
Be the point of contact and escalation at ward level.
Manage support assess and monitor the performance of staff ensuring the quality of service is of a high standard on a daily basis ensuring effective communication. Encourage and participate in training and educational programmes to enhance staff performance.
To be accountable for staff management performance reviews objective setting training and ensure management and consistency of management across the programme. Responsible for escalations and authorise all leave/sickness/absence on dashboard and similar systems.
Responsible for recruitment selection induction appraisal review and continued professional development of staff including succession planning.
To ensure that all records documentation and audits are actioned and maintained appropriately and in accordance with appropriate legislation and that confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Responsible for capacity planning rota management and workforce management.
Responsible for the direct line management of the screening staff in the region and the daily overview of the screening teams work monitoring attendance in relation to absence including sickness annual leave and special leave.
To have a flexible approach to the changing needs of the local service and the company as a whole.
Qualifications :
Experience with working in a healthcare setting
Experience with managing staff including performance management of teams and individuals.
Show initiative attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks and to use problem solving skills
Be able to use good effective communication skills both written and oral within a multidisciplinary team at all levels and with patients/stakeholders in a calm sensitive and reassuring way. As well as the ability to work successfully across professional organisations and with a multitude of stakeholders
Must display people management skills and the ability to lead a team
The post holder must be IT literate with experience of using bespoke screening database software and a knowledge of information governance
Capability to work largely unsupervised but with the responsibility of close supervision of other clinical/clerical staff within the programme.
Must display a good level of initiative ability to prioritise tasks and to use problem solving skills but must be able to exercise openness through consulting with line managers at all times
Must be willing to participate and evidence continuing professional development (CPD)
A full driving licence and preferably your own transport to travel to and from venues and other places of work within the programme area.
This role is exempt from the Criminal Justice (Spent convictions and certain disclosures) Act 2016. Successful applicants will be required to provide full details of any previous cautions and convictions and undertake an enhanced disclosure with the Disclosure & Barring Service upon entry and thereafter every 3 years or the equivalent.
