Job Duties
Western State Hospital is seeking a full time Therapy II - Therapy Supervisor who will be responsible for performance management which includes ensuring expectations are clear well communicated and relate to the goals and objectives of the department or unit; performance issues are addressed and documented as they occur; and the requirements of the performance planning and evaluation system are met and evaluations are completed by established deadlines with proper documentation. This position will engage in 16-18 hours of active treatment in PSR programs each week as evidenced by approved schedule; ensures programs are age appropriate and that activities of subordinate staff are integrated with their assigned treatment teams; produce written evidence that the PSR interventions have been carried out; provide assigned affiliating therapeutic recreation interns with schedules assignments and clinical supervision; and supervises Weekend PSR on-unit program and budget including updating HI related to programming.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from CTRS accredited program with degree in therapeutic recreation/certification or combination of experience and/or training
- Experience supervising TR programs and subordinate staff
- Knowledge of therapeutic recreation theory and application
- Skill in assessing program needs and developing TR interventions
- Skill and ability to provide programs to CMI population
