Job Summary:
This position is for a Physical Therapist in an outpatient orthopedic clinic. The Physical Therapist will provide skilled physical therapy services to patients with orthopedic conditions including assessment treatment planning and patient education. The role requires experience with various orthopedic conditions and modalities as well as strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and assessments to patients with orthopedic conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Administer various therapeutic interventions including manual therapy therapeutic exercises and modalities (e.g. cryotherapy e-stim ultrasound).
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and self-management strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Manage patient scheduling and caseload effectively.
- Utilize Cerner electronic health record system (preferred).
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist.
- Active Illinois state Physical Therapist license.
- BLS certification.
- Experience with orthopedic patient populations including conditions such as ankle sprains low back pain total knee/hip replacements and post-surgical rehabilitation.
- Proficiency in various assessment techniques (AROM/AAROM/PROM strength testing pain assessment etc.).
- Skill in using various therapeutic modalities (cryotherapy e-stim ultrasound etc.).
- Experience with documentation in an outpatient setting.
- Knowledge of billing practices (Commercial Medicaid Medicare A/B Private Pay Workers Compensation).
- Experience with adaptive devices assistive devices and gait training.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record system.
Special Considerations:
- No on-call requirements.
- No floating between different specialties or patient populations.
- Flexible hours within a Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM schedule.
- Must be in Illinois 3 business days prior to compliance to meet fingerprinting requirements.
- Up to 36 hours of call-offs are permitted per 13-week assignment without pay; additional call-offs will be billed to the client. Call-offs in lieu of on-call shifts count as call-offs.
- Maximum of 5 days of RTO restrictions.
Scheduling:
- Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with some flexibility in hours. Specific schedule may be discussed with candidates.
- Block scheduling may be accommodated.
