In Malaysia our dedicated local team handles customs clearance customer delivery customer service and billing ensuring smooth coordination at both ends. Our door-to-door service covers FCL LCL CIF FOB air freight and value-added services like payment handling and local invoicing.
Job Description:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow the companys logistics services along the China - Malaysia trade route.
- Drive revenue growth and achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets.
- Lead coach and mentor the sales team to enhance performance and achieve individual and team KPIs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients especially those based in or working with the Chinese market.
- Review improve and implement sales process flows CRM tracking and reporting systems to ensure operational efficiency.
- Act as the subject matter expert on company logistics services including:
1. China import/export operation
2. Sea freight (FCL & LCL)
3. Air freight
4. Customs clearance (Malaysia side)
5. Local transportation and warehousing solutions
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal departments including operations finance and customer service to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Represent the company at trade shows networking events and industry meetings when required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) in sales/business development within the logistics or freight forwarding industry preferably in the China - Malaysia corridor.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and coach a sales team.
- Excellent knowledge of logistics operations: China import sea/air freight custom clearance and FCL/LCL services.
- Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and English; ability to communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking clients and partners from China.
- Agile result-oriented and proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with sales reporting tools and CRM systems.
- Willingness to travel as needed for business development and client meetings.
