Job Description
Family Partner PT

As the Family Partner is a parent/caregiver with personal experience in the service delivery system advocates for and supports other parents. As an integral YCOT team member the Family Partner brings the familys perspective and culture into the childs care. The primary purpose is to incorporate the family perspective into all treatment aspects emphasizing the value of family participation in community settings. The Family Partner works non-judgmentally and respectfully with families aiding in service access promoting independence and enhancing advocacy skills. The role requires effective respectful communication with children caregivers and colleagues from diverse backgrounds. Availability is required 24/7/365 including evenings and weekends.
Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma/GED
Defined Education: None
Preferences: Spanish Speaking
One (1) year Experience: Lived experience as a primary caregiver of a child with behavioral health or developmental challenges who has previously or is presently utilizing services (i.e: Special Education Mental Health Social Services Regional Center) AND experience in navigating at least two child serving systems AND experience working with young children and families.
License/Certifications: Earn certification as Certified Family Partner on the job
