Job Description

Position Overview:
As a Turndown Service Attendant at The Edinburgh Grand you play an essential role in enhancing the guest experience by providing meticulous personalized turndown service that reflects the brands commitment to refined elegance and exceptional hospitality. Your attention to detail and dedication to quality ensure that every guest room is transformed into a tranquil retreat each evening.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Guest Rooms for Evening:
    Perform turndown service according to brand standards including turning down beds fluffing pillows and ensuring all linens are perfectly arranged.
  • Ambiance Enhancement:
    Create a warm inviting atmosphere by dimming lights closing curtains placing chocolates or branded amenities on pillows and ensuring all in-room lighting and temperature are adjusted to guest preferences or brand guidelines.
  • Room Inspection & Maintenance:
    Check guest rooms for cleanliness and maintenance issues report any damages or guest requests promptly to housekeeping or maintenance departments.
  • Personalized Guest Touches:
    Place personalized notes or amenities as per guest requests or VIP preferences contributing to a bespoke guest experience.
  • Privacy and Discretion:
    Respect guest privacy at all times ensuring minimal disruption and adhering to security protocols when entering occupied rooms.
  • Collaboration:
    Coordinate closely with front desk concierge and housekeeping teams to deliver seamless guest service and promptly address any guest needs or feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in luxury hotel turndown service or housekeeping preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a guest-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible availability including evenings weekends and holidays.
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning duties and lift light to moderate items.
