Team Manager - Facilities

As part of our Manufacturing team youll help build the world-class state-of-the-art smart vehicles were known for. In our plants around the world were constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. Youll get the satisfaction of making great products people use and love.

In this position...

You will be responsible for depth and breadth on all shifts/crews within a department delivering all department scorecard objectives owning processes (e.g. constraint management/VRT) standardization across all workstations within the area planning change determining continuous improvement opportunities and serving as a change agent to drive the Ford Production System.



Responsibilities

What youll do...

Confirm standards are in place

o Monitor and confirm that manufacturing operating system standards are being applied and adhered to throughout the plant

o Develop coach and support to achieve SQDCPME objectives

Support issues raised by the teams

o Coach teach and feedback on resolution of abnormalities and validate closure of concerns (facilitates interim containment actions)

o Provide necessary resources to maintain production flow and confirm critical inputs are being performed to the acceptable standard(s)

o Plan maintenance tasks monitor completion and effectiveness and drive improvement and/or coaching opportunities

Communication and Recognition

o Enable a culture of learning through demonstration of effective communication skills

o Respect and encourage respect of all team members by my actions

Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks

o Create a Zero Tolerance environment and reaffirm team members respect each other

o Create a proactive performance driven culture that listens reacts and supports (effective communication education listening trust) to capture the hearts and minds of the people

o Proactively recognize the teams accomplishments and improve morale

Ensure completion of administrative responsibilities

o Ensure basic administrative activities are completed as required



Qualifications

Youll have...

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Strong ability to oversee production maintenance building facility and construction skilled trades.

Project management experience

Strong ability to interface with plant hourly salaried personnel and plant management

Strong ability to present in front of plant management

Ability to teach Ford Production System principles

Union negotiations experience

Competent in the use of data for decision making

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to resolve diverse problems

Work well under pressure and to be able to work under crisis management when necessary

Ability to work and multi-task in fast paced environment

Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in One FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal teambuilding and communication skills

Even better you may have...

Education: Bachelors Degree

Evaluate and deliver FTPM measurable

Maximize equipment effectiveness through a detailed standardized and prioritized preventive and predictive maintenance plan designed to improve productivity

Review and approve preventive maintenance activities and assess the effectiveness of those activities

Devise maintenance plans strategies and priorities to support the total department business plan; manage daily maintenance around production optimizing opportunities

Confirm and require adherence to Maintenance Operating System processes

Review status and progress of goals and objectives and require accountability

Manage construction project planning and execution

Working and manage Labor clearances.

Maximo experience

6-sigma designation preferred

Strong analytical skills and quick decision making capability preferred

Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)
