Job Description

Job summary : Engage with customers in the Biotech and Biopharmaceutical sectors to drive lead generation and revenue growth while sustaining and enhancing the gross margin of DKSHs Biopharma business. The role encompasses strategic key account management and supplier relationship development with a strong emphasis on acquiring new clients and expanding the customer base.

General responsibilities :

  • Manage key accounts across India for raw materials related to the Biopharmaceutical sector ensuring strong and lasting client relationships.

  • Drive client relationship management by offering consistent engagement and value-driven solutions.

  • Conduct comprehensive and periodic market mapping of Indian Biopharma formulators to identify initiate and cultivate business opportunities.

  • Gather analyze and share market intelligence and industry reports on emerging technologies trends and innovations in the Biopharma sector.

  • Function in a techno-commercial capacity to support and resolve customer technical queries while driving business development.

  • Champion the growth of DKSHs Biopharma business by proactively promoting solutions to designated regions and customer segments.

  • Lead new business development initiatives by identifying opportunities engaging with potential clients developing projects and bringing them to commercial fruition.

  • Maximize market outreach via in-person client visits across India supplemented by regular telephonic and MS Teams interactions. Ensure detailed and accurate reporting in Salesforce in line with business targets.

  • Build and maintain a robust project pipeline within the assigned portfolio territory and accounts.

  • Prepare and deliver regular MIS reports business analysis and client updates as directed by the Business Head.

  • Drive revenue growth by expanding existing accounts and acquiring new customers/business opportunities.

  • Ensure comprehensive market coverage engaging with procurement R&D and other relevant departments.

  • Oversee receivables management to maintain healthy cash flow.

  • Support the Business Line Manager and Senior Manager in order planning sales forecasting and inventory management.

  • Achieve business performance targets as set by the Business Line Manager Pharma to qualify for performance-based incentives.

  • Uphold strict confidentiality regarding pricing products projects suppliers and any proprietary company information. Submit monthly and ad hoc reports on sales and business development activities to the Business Line Manager and key suppliers/principals.

  • Coordinate and facilitate supplier visits and product trials with clients.

  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Business Manager Pharma including involvement in new product groups industry clusters or regional expansion projects.

  • Understand that current responsibilities are designed with long-term personal and organizational growth in mind and may evolve based on individual performance and strategic business needs.

Work experience : Possess 45 years of experience in selling raw materials to pharmaceutical companies with a strong focus on driving sales growth building client relationships and supporting technical and commercial requirements. Should have experience in the Biopharmaceutical and Biotechnology industry with strong exposure to cell culture processes (including mammalian cell culture) upstream and downstream processing and biofermentation technologies (raw materials)

Education: . / MBA added advantage
