Job Description

RN-Intensive Care Unit Permanent Role
  • Location: Round Rock TX 78665
  • Shift: 12 HR Nights 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
  • Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth patient and family assessments to identify care needs.
  • Develop implement and regularly evaluate individualized care plans.
  • Modify care strategies based on patient response and outcomes.
  • Establish therapeutic relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Advocate for patients by integrating their values and preferences into care planning.
  • Educate patients families staff and community members to promote informed health decisions.
  • Identify learning needs and provide appropriate education regularly.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members and community partners to optimize patient care.
  • Appropriately delegate tasks and monitor follow-up to ensure quality.
  • Utilize critical thinking and creative problem-solving in complex care situations.
  • Prioritize safety efficiency and patient-centered care in all decisions.
  • Demonstrate teamwork mentorship and commitment to personal and professional growth.
  • Support peers engage in community service and uphold the organizations mission.
Key Success Factors:
  • Deep knowledge of nursing principles practices and standards of patient care.
  • Understanding of state nursing laws regulations and professional guidelines.
  • Familiarity with hospital policies procedures and workflow.
  • Competence in medical terminology and clinical pharmacology.
  • Strong ethical standards and respect for patient confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and collaboration abilities.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Basic computer literacy including Microsoft Office EMR systems scheduling and secure communication platforms.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Field of Study: Nursing
  • Current and valid RN license (Texas state).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtained within 30 days of hire).
