Responsibilities
The Peri Op RN role involves the following responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive post-operative care to patients in the perioperative setting.
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Monitor patients vital signs and manage pain effectively.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with surgeons anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families regarding post-operative care and recovery processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and adhere to safety protocols.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
- Must possess valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of perioperative care practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Desired Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Experience in orthopedic and general surgical procedures is a plus.
- Demonstrated skills in managing critically ill patients.
- Experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting is preferred.
