Job Description

RN-Intensive Care Unit Permanent Role
  • Location: Austin TX 78735
  • Shift: 12 HR Days 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
  • Compensation: Based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments and identify patient and family needs.
  • Develop implement and revise patient-centered care plans based on evolving needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatment and make necessary adjustments.
  • Educate patients families and caregivers on health conditions medications and post-hospital care.
  • Document all assessments interventions outcomes and educational efforts accurately and timely.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and community resources to ensure continuity of care.
  • Use evidence-based practice and critical thinking to provide safe efficient and effective care.
  • Maintain patient dignity and confidentiality in line with HIPAA and ethical standards.
  • Support safe patient transport and ensure readiness for procedures or transfers.
Key Success Factors:
  • In-depth understanding of nursing standards practices and ICU-specific procedures.
  • Familiarity with state nursing laws and hospital policies.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology common medications treatments and side effects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to work with diverse populations.
  • Sound critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems including EMR Microsoft Office and scheduling tools.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality care.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Active RN license in Texas state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
  • ICU nursing experience.
