Job Description
RN-Oncology Permanent Role
- Location: Dallas TX 75246
- Shift: 12 HR Nights 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed: 36 Hours
- Compensation: Based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care to oncology patients in accordance with established nursing protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor and assess patient condition response to treatment and progress during chemotherapy radiation and other oncology services.
- Administer medications including chemotherapy and manage side effects.
- Educate patients and families on disease process treatment plans symptom management and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record.
- Adhere to infection control safety and quality standards in patient care.
- Support emotional and psychological needs of patients and families throughout treatment.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Oncology or acute care.
- License: Current Texas RN License.
Certification:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)-required (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
- ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
