Job Description
San Francisco CA $130K-150K Full-Time Onsite Hospitality
About the Role:
An established hospitality company in San Franciscos Pacific Heights neighborhood is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Controller to oversee all financial operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager the Controller will manage accounting payroll budgeting internal controls auditing benefits administration and financial reporting while also providing support in human resources and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations including payroll billing accounts payable/receivable and cash management.
- Prepare and deliver timely monthly and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet P&L Cash Flow).
- Develop and manage operational and capital budgets collaborating with department heads to assess long-term financial needs.
- Advise the General Manager on financial planning budgeting and strategic decisions.
- Ensure tax compliance and oversee audit processes including preparation of all required tax filings.
- Implement and manage internal controls conducting regular internal audits.
- Manage billing and collections overseeing delinquency procedures and reporting.
- Administer employee benefit plans including retirement programs and support HR policies.
- Attend leadership meetings and contribute to broader club operational goals.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of financial ethics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance required.
- 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience including at least 2 years in a Controller role within the hospitality industry.
- CPA or advanced degree is a plus.
