About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Controller to join our Finance team in Mexico City supporting both Moove and Kovi. This role is key in ensuring the reliability of financial information compliance with regulations and efficiency of accounting and financial processes while also implementing improvements that strengthen operations and enable strategic decision-making.


What Youll be Doing

  • Supervising and validating monthly and annual accounting closings ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS/NIIF.

  • Implementing and monitoring internal controls to prevent risks and optimize processes.

  • Ensuring compliance with fiscal and regulatory obligations.

  • Designing and implementing improvements in accounting systems and processes including automation.

  • Preparing financial and management reports for senior leadership.

  • Analyzing financial statements to identify areas of opportunity and recommending corrective actions.

  • Coordinating internal and external audits ensuring timely responses.

  • Overseeing treasury management bank reconciliations accounts payable and receivable.

  • Ensuring timely invoicing and accurate revenue recognition in line with accounting standards.

  • Reviewing and presenting reliable financial statements for decision-making.


What You will need for this position

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting (preferred) Finance or Administration with solid experience in accounting.

  • Masters degree or postgraduate studies in Corporate Finance MBA Management Control or Auditing is desirable.

  • Proven experience applying IFRS/NIIF in accounting closings financial statements and revenue recognition.

  • Strong knowledge of local tax regulations and compliance.

  • Experience in internal control and audits.

  • Knowledge of financial analysis budgets and cash flow management.

  • Advanced skills in Excel and ERP systems.

  • Advanced English (oral and written).

  • Knowledge of facturación 4.0 (Mexico).

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in financial/controllership roles and at least 3 years leading teams.


Key Metrics

  • Accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reports.

  • On-time completion of monthly and annual closings.

  • Compliance with tax and regulatory obligations without penalties.

  • Efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls and audits.

  • Implementation of process improvements and automation in financial operations.

  • Treasury and cash flow management efficiency.



Who Youll Be Working with:

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance Mexico and closely collaborating with the Finance & Accounting team locally and the Global Finance Team.
